Webbing clew strap

Go with a webbing to hold the clew down. This does not need to be tight, any sail maker who knows their stuff can knock one up, most are a valcro sewn to the webbing and this passes around the boom...

Brion, funny you should say about the Sea Rigs, that's what we decided to go with, as i could not justify the cost of making studs for the 'Alien' turnbuckles.

I'm having issues getting Navtec/Gibb Shroud terminals in NZ. Specifically in (10 and 12mm). The issue isn't so much getting them, it's the "7 to 9 weeks" lead in!!! i find hard to live...

If the boat is being setup for offshore cruising the i'd think it would be seamanlike to have a rope topping lift to use as a spare mainsail halyard, should the need arise.

i mostly use 'pacific' antenna's, they're isolated from the mast due to the stepped washer that seperates the antenna from the s'steel bracket, [if you put it the right way round!!!]
