In the "Rigger's Apprentice" Brion gives most comprehensive instructions for ratling down, how to avoid causing the shrouds to form a sine curve, why you'd make every third rung of wood, and all that. Once I read that and took off the misbegotten rat lines Granuaile came with, I got a most shipshape solution. G'luck Ian |
