best way to make a ladder out of the shrouds
 

My ride is a vagabond 47. I am interested in making the shrouds into a ladder. The shrouds are made of 1/2 inch SS. cable. Does anyone know of a recomended technique for accomplishing this? I'd appreciate any help:) . ...Peter weems@cfw.com

Ahoy Peter,

In the "Rigger's Apprentice" Brion gives most comprehensive instructions for ratling down, how to avoid causing the shrouds to form a sine curve, why you'd make every third rung of wood, and all that.

Once I read that and took off the misbegotten rat lines Granuaile came with, I got a most shipshape solution.
