Splicing Wand Snare Replacement

Greetings all, I have just finished a few splicing jobs with double braid and some cantankerous vectran and have once again replaced my snares with new thread, just sail thread and not spectra as that was all I had. Has anyone used fine fishing trace wire? I am think of trying this so if any has had a try please let me know. Cheers.
