Default Samson Validator - jib sheets

I'm considering replacing my jib sheet line with one of the Validator products. I have a roller furling installation and leave the line in place most of the year.

The line is attached to the sail by pushing a bight through the clew grommet, then running the standing ends through the bight and pulling tight. I'm sure there is a name for this type of knot, but not sure what it is - just a minimal hitch. So the sheet remains one continuous piece of line attached to the sail in the middle of the line.

Will either of the Validator products hold up OK in this installation? I'm replacing Sta-Set.

Do you prefer a different knot for attaching this type of line to the sail?

Thanks,
Geoff Jackson
