Default Thistle Mast

I bought an older Thistle last fall. It has a broken wood mast. My friend the woodworking guru says it'll make a nice flagpole, but nothing more.

I'm headed to the Wood Boat Fest next week. Any tips on where I might find a replacement mast? Thanks. Tom

Default Thistle is still a popular boat

Thistles that have been well kept or well restored are beautiful boats!

They are still relatively popular and have active fleets. In fact, there appear to be 5 fleets in the Pacific Northwest!

Your best bet would be to jump on the Thistle Class Association web site and see if you can find a fleet that is somewhere close to you. There is likely to be someone in the fleet that can help you locate a mast for your boat.

Thanks for the response. Yes, that's probably my best bet. Tom
