Default Metric Aircraft Eyes?

I have spent far too much time searching the web looking for aircraft eyes to fit 10mm and 12mm wire. For some reason, Selden chose to install tangs on the mast that will only accept aircraft eyes and since I'm re-rigging in Thailand, I can only find metric wire rope. If worse comes to worse, I can always have new tangs made but I'd rather avoid that if at all possible.

Fair winds and calm seas.

C.P.

Selden use Blue Wave or Hasselfors or some other Scandinavian fittings. These are just thin, not Aircraft.

Buy from Selden.

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a whole new set complete from Selden, not just the components.

Joe.

Thanks for the tip, Joe. Unfortunately, according to the current Selden catalog, their swage eyes are 18mm thick unless I'm reading something wrong. My tangs won't accept anything over 15mm.

C.P.

I have just looked in the Blue Wave catalogue.

(bluewave@bluewave.dk www.bluewave.dk +4573221414)

Part number 190010 for 10 mm wire has a thickness of 11 mm.

Part number 190012X for 12 mm wire has a thickness of 15 mm.

Talk to Blue Wave about the swaging dies you have available.

Their part number 190012 has some strange dimensions listed, smaller o.d on swage etc you wont want to get mixed up and order the wrong item.

Joe.
