![]() I talked to Brooks, the StaLoks are even older than 1978 - he thinks thirty years at least. I seemed to have two designs -- some with 2 flats on the male portion and some with 6 flats. These are eye terminals -- some had square shoulders versus the 45 degree ones we see today.
The wedges are indeed bronze. They are smaller, in OD and length, and have a different taper. The terminals could be re-used, but I would need to replace the male portion and of course use a new wedge. I am opting to use new terminals, after the labor to remove them and clean them up, the cost of a new wedge and male top, new ones are a better bet. Not to mention that the old ones are 30+ years old. If I can get them away from the owner, I'll send you one for the BTYR museum. They look remarkably similar, other than the size diff, the new ones seem to be finished a little nicer. Bob |
