Default Bent Mast

I removed mast from 34 foot sailboat (mast is 39 feet long) about a year ago to redo all the rigging and repaint the mast. I had the mast outside and well supported along it length. I noticed over time the mast seemed to develop a bend (bend would be from port to starboard if stepped, no bend bow to stern). Not really sure what caused the bend, could sunlight hitting one side cause uneven expansion on one side and thus a bend (I am in the tropics). I am fairly confident the bend will tune out when I step the mast but curious if you have seen this before.
Thanks

Try rolling it 180 or turning it end for end. And next time, lay it out north-south.

I agree that you should be able to take the bend out with tuning.

G'luck
