![]() i am at the beginning of my chainplate replacement, and have been thinking very hard about how to set up the rigging. i am a bosn'smate in the navy so using Dyna Dux, and the possibility of splicing my own rigging is a big win for me. while i havent truly decided i am leaning more that way. currently i have a roller furler on foreward stay. as there is no product that would replace that directly, i was thinking about using a dux forestay with a continous line furler directly behind it for quick sail change out. i have changed my head sail once and it took a while (alough we did not nessesarily know what we were doing). as we will ultimately cruise with just two, anything that helps make it easier to change sails is a big plus. What do you reccomend? What are the wireless sailors using?

![]() For some reason I can't remember which boat it is, but either the new Hunters, or the new Beneteau have eliminated the forestay wire, and are going to structual luff lines that double as forestays... I will check today and see if I can get a model of boat doing this, but it may solve your problems.
Personally I would stick with a foil furler, perhaps with a screeched or a-kite on a furler. |
