Default Sailmaker's tools

I was wondering if anyone has a line on a supplier for the following:

sailmaker's hooks (with or without scorpion)

an address for W. Smith Sons in Redditch, UK

A souce for some lignum vitae (scrap is just fine... I wanna whittle some thimbles)

Thimbling fids

(Yep! The "dittybag" bug has bit.)

W. Smith is tough to reach directly. I assume that you are looking for a palm? Carol Hasse at PT Sails is a great resource. Bainbridge is a good distributor, any sailmaker should be able to get you access.

Ditto for sailmaker's hooks.

Carol gets fids make up locally, I believe.

I contacted PT sails and Nicki sent me a picture and description of some of their palms. Seem like nice people.

Now...which do I get????
