Default T-900 Running Backs

Greetings,

I am contemplating replacing my old vinyl coated 7X19 wire running backs with T-900 and using some T-900 for a spare halyard. I have two questions:
1. Can I/should I put SS thimbles in the eye splices? The running backs attach to a clevis pin between two tangs on the mast and a 4 part tackle on the other end so I would have eye splices on each end.

2. How well does T-900 take knots, particularly bends like an anchor bend? How much is the breaking strength reduced?

Thanks,

Greg

You can and should use SS thimbles -- I like to use the cast sailmakers variety.

You should avoid knots at all costs in T900 or any high mod.
