Default Too much line

The oysterman's stopper looks like a good way to finish a soft shackle. My issue with it is that it takes too much line to successfully tie it. You end up with more line in the stopper than you do in the rest of the shackle if you are using something like 8mm Dyneema.

I have been looking at the Diamond knot as a stopper, but I'm still not happy.
