GAry, sorry but I cannot reply to your thread on HM rigging so I will try this.

I will use the Dynex Dux for my standing rigging. 7mm on the shrouds, whiskers and lowers. 9mm on head, fore, boomkin and back stays. I will stay with wire in Bobstay because of anchor line/chain chafe.

I will be using terminators and deadeyes from Precourt (in black). The medium series. Download there catalog here.

I would be interested to know why you chose Precourt? Is it the black color? Price? You know you will have to deal with a much smaller radius that is not recommended by Hamipjan and the splices will be difficult to make. You have to use a different eye for he lower fitting and the upper fittings. All with tight radius's. The Precourt have too small of a radius and to shallow of a groove. They were developed for F-boats with rotating masts. I would be very careful to watch the shrouds on the lee side (you don't want to shake one a precourt eye fitting loose.

Then I will use this black line for the lashings (New England V-100). That way the whole setup will be black. Hey, if you can't sail good you should at least look good! It's vectran with a braided sheath. This way it should hold the lashings well and not slip. Dynex is very slippery!

I found I want my lashings to slip, in fact I went from 1/4" dynex to 3/16" as there was not enough slip to take up on the tension without a great bit of hassle and sore hands. It will not slip after it is taken up, but the taking up can be a real chore if it don't slip

This is from Hampidjan recently...
New “black” color option. The price is slightly higher. The color can abrade off, but will not wash off. The color does not fully penetrate the line, it is mostly a surface coat. For this reason running it through a block or around a capstan head will abrade the black off. The end result of abrasion gives the line a grayish color. We can provide more liquid black to re-paint back on the line as an option. Without a 5000 meter minimum order for custom color, no other colors are available. DUX can come in Gray, Orange and a surface color of Black.

Then to finish off I will rig a bowsprit traveler from Classic Marine.

Then I will have may sails fitted with luff ropes made of Dynex. Rig a 2 part halyard led to a winch to host the sails with a Facnor Code 0 furler. This will be attached to the traveler.

What will your Facnor cost? I am using a similar one from Colligo and it is GREAT! Yesterday I flew a Yankee, a Genoa, and a Drifter all in the same race. Just roll them up and drop em' on deck and attach the other sail. haul it up and unroll it. I have not modified my sails yet, but it is really nice way to go. I can even attach it to an outside ama on my trimaran and hoist it out in clean air....heee-hawww!

Just went to Colligo to get the prices and I see he has them on sale...

So far I am estimating with furler, the cost of around 4000.
