i jsut want to second one of Brion's comments.

CUT THE WIRE SQUARE.

many will use felco or other wire cutting tools for mechanical terminals. while this is sort of acceptable on sta-lock and norseman fittings, with the hayn it is not. really all of these fittings use pushing against the end of the cable to form the wires over the cone, or in the hayne to locate the cones positon versus the end of the wire.

we use a high speed grinder and a .040 cutoff wheel to cut the wire off square. its fast and correct.
