Default where to buy a serving iron

Are there any sources for a serving iron?
Or is it a do-it-yourself tool?
If making your own what is a good size (length, hole dia., etc) and what material works best?
Looks like I'll need one for doing some wire seizing on 3/8" 1X7.

Thanks,
Carl

The Riggers Apprentice has a diagram and some input on measures, I believe.

Don't think you can buy one, at least I have never seen a production made item, only shop made.

Default Serving Iron Source

Contact Brion's shop, he has a source for fine bronze irons -- at least he did when I got mine. They are custom made to your needs and the price is fair.
