![]() Thanks for the reply Brion!!
The boat is in Miami, FL. Now for the other good stuff. The boat that the Isomat spar is now proudly standing on is a Creekmore. These boats, I have found out, were very limited in there numbers and sold as shells so they are all very customized in other words no two are the same. Lee Creekmore was the designer and has been of absolutely no help it seems he is no longer is in the boat building industry and basically seems to want to be left in peace. The good part. comes from the fact that I met a Gentleman (Skeet Perry) who is the Guru Jedi Master of these boats. He is a little too "High Tech" for my tastes, but thats besides the point. He is helping me with a lot of the little questions, as is the sail maker, Tom Breneman. My role is that of a sponge. I talk to them and try to soak it all up. I then execute with precision everything that we talked about. I don't consider myself your average boat owner because I am basically building this boat up from just an empty hull, unfortunately my field is that of marine electronics and the rigging although pretty mechanical and straight forward lacks all the manuals and details that I'm so used to finding easily for most electronics. I know the basics. I've read your book. I feel at ease with what I'm doing, but hell if I want to put an Isomat Auto reefing/slab reefing) on this boom with internal shuttle blocks etc. I should be able to find a picture somewhere that has each item labeled with a parts list of sizes etc. so that i don't have to stick calipers into the gooseneck and eyeball what the lower sheave size is. Am I making any sense? Xavier |
