Default Lashing to wire rigging

My boat uses lashing instead of a turnbuckle on the forestay. It's time to replace the standing rigging and I'm wondering if theres a better connection than the current:

1x19 wire (3/16") -to-
Aircraft eye (5/16" hole) -to-
Bow shackle (5/16" pin) -to-
Hi-mod lashing -to-
Stem fitting

The Precourt deadeyes look nice, but I haven't found one which will mate directly to a 1x19 wire terminal.

Any suggestions? The current setup looks less than ideal, but it has held for many ocean miles.

I should mention that the boat is a Mini Transat 6.50, thus the replacing of turnbuckles with lashing to save weight. More competative boats are using PBO instead of wire, but that's not in my budget.

Thanks.
