Wow. I had the pleasure of doing that re- rig once. Fun eh? An Disney did want an authentic job. I never appreciated that ride until I work on her.

I'm sure the V-100 lanyards are more difficult than the Dyneema. But it was double. I was worried about the thinner Dyneema line taking UV damage more quickly. Here in the tropics the sun is brutal....

A note: I have been using the V-100 as my lashing lines with the Dyneema rig I currently have....

Hi
I am considering using NE Ropes V-100 for standing rigging. Has anyone tried this? What would be the best splice to use? I am in the tropics and like the idea of the cover over the Vectran. Any...

Chainplate hell

I have needed to replace the 1/4" 316 SS chainplates on my boat. They appear to have stress cracks as opposed to crevice corrosion. These plates are 25 years old. They are coming off a 28' 15,000lb...

Tensioning Dynex rig

Hi all,
I have had a rig built with Dynex Dux for the last 4 years. One of the questions has always been how tight to set it up.
I did as I have always done. Taken the boat out sailing and tension...
