![]() The Mid-Atlantic Region (MAR) of the International Guild of Knot Tyers will hold its next meeting on Saturday, April 24 from 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m (or beyond) at the historic U.S.S. CONSTELLATION Museum in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
If you are interested in knot tying, please join us. We will have some tutorials on tying fancy knots, but for the most part we will just meet and share our interest and joy in knot tying. There may be some traditional marlinspike rigging work aboard ship – t.b.d. Beginners are welcome, but space is limited so please email Mike Pollock at m1chael.pollock@yahoo.com if you have any interest in attending. The meeting is free. Entrance (with audio tour guide) to the historical square rigged U.S. Navy warship is $10, and is well worth it, for any of you who are interested. Volunteer riggers get aboard free, so if we do any shipboard rigging work all can join in. The meeting will be held in the office building at the entrance to CONSTELLATION, on Pier 1 in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Please bring whatever knotwork you are working on, and any knot tying tools you have. There are food courts all around, and we generally go out for a snack after the meeting. For directions, look up CONSTELLATION at http://historicships.org/constellation.html, or contact Michael Pollock, at m1chael.pollock@yahoo.com. Please email him if you have any intention of coming, as we need to arrange for sufficient tutorial supplies and chairs. I hope to see many of you there! Happy Knotting.
