Default Did dent cause bend in the mast ?

My mast was severely dented in two places, under the two stb spreader bases,,,, this caused a "set bend" , or bow in the mast.

I haven't heard of anyone using an external sleeve, but that doesn't mean , that it is not doable.

I think I read on this forum, that Brian Duff uses an epoxy to glue in,,,, an internal sleeve ?

Check this forum archives for mast splices, there might be useful info there.

Could you not, elevate your mast step, with a plastic block, of the same thickness, that you might have to cut out of the damaged mast section, then you wouldn't have to shorten your shrouds ?
