I was hoping to do an external repair without cutting the dent out as this would require shortening the standing rigging. I was thinking of an external sleeve, filling the dent with epoxy, and gluing and screwing the sleeve on. I know it wouldn't be pretty, but other than that, is there any problem with this plan?
