Default Flicka 20 mast wireing and sealing

Hi all, I was curious about changeing the "current" (pun?) wireing system on my Flicka 20. Oringially, the wres exited down low on the mast out the side into a cable clam into the cabin. Exposed were the connestion for the VHF, wind, and anchor light. This is all bad since the connections were exposed. The mast stem is flat SS, and no "socket" for a lack of a better term that the mast sits on on deck. I was contemplating bonding/4200ing a peice ir 1/2 or 3/4" fibreglass tube that extends below the deck up about 6" into the mast. This elimanated all the connections and cable clams, and also allows all connections inside, where it is safest and most reliable. the only issue I see is water entering the fibreglass tube, which can be eliminated by a drip loop inside the mast, and also makeing 2 limber holes to allow any standing water to not get trapped in the mast. Does anyone have any info or input for this arangement? Thanks,Zach
