Default Webbing Loops

Hello,

I am re-doing the rig I use for climbing the mast. Bassically I use a climbing harness attached to a Petzl ascender and a pair of footloops made from nylon webbing to another ascender.

The footloops previously were just webbing looped and tied to a biner which was attached to the ascender. Intending to neaten this up I re-made the footloops and instead of knots in the webbing i sewed the webbing in a boxed x pattern (about 7/8" x 3") using v92 polyester sail thread. This seems very secure and my life does not depend on the footloops but I wonder how strong this is in relation to the strength of the nylon webbing (1" tubular from REI 15kn I think).

Thanks for any comments
