Default seizing wire for turnbuckles?

My turnbuckle studs have some tef-gel on them and in high waves and strong wind, they start turning a little. This may have something to do with a lack of tension, but I'm wondering if using seizing wire instead of clevis pins is a better solution in general?

What do you think?

Thanks,
Gleb
