Default samson warpspeed 3/8" dyneema core diameter?

Does anybody know the dyneema core diameter of the 3/8" warpspeed line? Either warpspeed I or II.

End for end dyneema splicing is best done with the same diameter rope, right?

Thanks!
Gleb

Default Size

Hello,
Expect about 5/16" (8mm in irrational measure).
As for relative diameter, so long as the buries are adequate, you can have significant size disparity; you just limit the strength to that of the weaker line, weakened a bit further by the intrusion of the larger line. What is the application?
Fair leads,

Thank you! Pretty much all lines that need replacing on the boat. Roller furler, jib sheets, reef lines, spinnaker halyard. I've decided to give it a try - there are considerable weight and size savings with virtually no cost difference with spliced dyneema and hopefully, I can splice it so that it doesn't fail.

So do you think 3/8" line (5/16 dyneema) would work okay with 3/16" dyneema on a 30' sloop? Maybe even 1/8" for roller furler?

Thanks!
Gleb
