![]() In a previous thread, the terms continuous and non continuous rig were used.
Can someone explain to this novice what they mean and what is the difference. I did not see anything in the index of The Rigger's Apprentice. Thanks. Bob |

![]() This term refers to the cap shroud (or intermediate shroud) being continuous from masthead (or intermediate mast tang) to deck or terminating at the tip of the lower spreader, and a second wire coming from the spreader tip to deck, thus discontinuous.
The upper wires can be tensioned with a turnbuckle or setup dead with no turnbuckle. Bob |
