Default How to Determine Proper Sheet Lengths

Sorry, I don't my copy of Brion's book handy and this is probably answered in there.

Are there guidelines to use for determining good lengths for sheets? I say it as just sheets because I am looking to replace my jib, main, mizzen, etc., etc. and just replacing what I have might not be the optimum.

Thanks!

Default

sheets which run through tackles have to be figured on the boat. normally spin sheets are double the length of boats

jib sheets 1.5 length of boats

staysail 1 length
