![]() I'm working on a spinnaker halyard and want to strip off the cover for some distance. I've not been able to find any guidance on how much cover to bury.
Is there a formula for how much cover to bury? Do you do one bury for the whole cover or split it into two or more pieces and bury each? Thanks, Jay |

![]() Hello,
We typically use the same length tail as we would for a conventional double-braid splice: 24 diameters. It's enough to be significant and easy to stich, and long enough to taper fully, should we wish to. Fair leads, Brion Toss |
