![]() While we are all trying to get our heads around this new format I thought I'd slip in a question that's puzzling me.
I am about to receive 6 chainplates for my new gaff cutter, and have cleverly! pre-fitted the pads on the inside of the hull. When the plates arrive how can I make sure that the holes drilled from outside enter the pads midway and look neat? This could have been a Puzzler Brion, but any hints would sure be appreciated. ![]() Let's suppose you've drilled the chainplate already. You can easily measure down allowing for the thickness of the deck to find where to bore the upper most hole out from the inside. With a little care you can now bore from outside through each hole in turn.
