![]() Hello all,
For the past 6 weeks, I have been utterly immersed in rerigging the replica of the "Columbia Rediviva." In Disneyland. Yes, it is Disneyland, but it is a real rig, and the people who run the place have given me encouragement to do it right. Working with other sailors and riggers from my part of the world, as well as with the utterly talented, devoted-to-the-ship riggers who work at the park, we have been serving, seizing, and splicing all day, every day, with rope ranging from 3/8" to 2" in diameter. Hundreds of pieces of work, and as of yesterday we began installing some of them onto the lower masts. Unfortunately, I have been a little scarce here, and I am sorry for that. But things have levelled out at the loft somewhat, and I hope to be more attentive to actual posts, as well as being more prompt at removing the weird spam posts that have been cropping up. ![]() Wow. I had the pleasure of doing that re- rig once. Fun eh? An Disney did want an authentic job. I never appreciated that ride until I work on her.
