![]() Forum,
I plan to install a Harken MKIV unit 0 on my Columbia 29. Harken recommends the top foil to be a certain distance below the upper swaged terminal. I have a Sta-lok eye terminal at the upper end of the headstay. Does this pose a problem with roller furling. I do not think so, but would like to get some professional opinions. Thanks in advance for any comments on this subject. Bob |

![]() I put my last furler in myself, I worked at a rigging shop for a year prior, you just want the foil to stop low enough that it will not rub on the fitting, go by the manufacture recommendation. Also very important, you need to instal a halyard restraining block to eliminate twist, this is a must with a furler. Installing a furler is not rocket science but if you do not have a lot of rigging expieriance you should definitely have a professional rigger give you some paid advice. A poorly installed furler can cost you the rig.
