Default solent stay

I have J 105 w Hall spar, so fractional rig with back-swept spreaders. Backstay is mast head and no runners.
My primary interest is shorthanded sailing and addition of SOLENT stay would simplify sail changing and changing gears greatly. I could have 155 % on roller furler and hank on 100% and smaller on the solent.
I do not want runners, so is it possible to install solent stay so close to the forestay attachment, so that can be done ?
Synthetic stay would be preferable for stowing, but can I use metal hanks (such wichard) so that one hand operation for changing sail is possible ??
Any recommendation for hardware .
