Load Testing

How would I go about finding a facilty to load test some expirimental splicing and ropework that we are doing ?

Any Ideas ?

Looks like I dufus'd the reply.
I'd start with checking out an industrial wire cable shop or tool rental shop that services "come-alongs" & chain falls. They have multi-ton scales for checking the clutches, etc after servicing.

They will know who in your region can do cycle and load testing.

You will probably need to know cycle limits as well as load tests; that helps determine the longevity of your work in addition to the maximum load.

If you can't find a naval engineer via a commercial shipyard or the yellow pages, call a naval architect. It's all about working the maritime community.
