![]() I'm in the process of rebuilding my mast after a chainplate failed demasting the boat. How much longer should the mast be than the luff of the mainsail? I was thinking of about 9-12 inches to allow for stretch. Does that sound right?

![]() I might be mistaken but I believe the mast length on that is 44' 3". Harken Compuspec has the I measure at 40.4 feet. This link might be handy but doesn't show you mast height. Still, it has most of the pertinent info. http://pearsoninfo.net/info/pearsons-html.htm
