Default HM rigging

I have been using Endura 12 halyards with double braid ends for my hands and the cleats. It has held up well for the past 3 years. I am thinkning of making shrouds and backstay from it as well. I have a Victory 21, about 1500# all up with low windage. The current rig is 1/8" 1x19 SS with Nicopress fittings and thimbles. What is a better way to attach the Endura ? I can eye splice it fine, should I just use thimbles or is there better way? Upper and lower shrouds attach to the mast with SS tangs and the backstay to a pin in the masthead crane.

Default HM Standing Rigging

Endura12 may not be the best choice for standing rigging. E12 is Dyneema/Spectra which exhibits creep (sort of a molecular stretch). You could potentially use 12-strand made from creep-free fibers.

As far as hardware, check out some of the offerings for Precourt Systems (www.precourt.ca), you might be able to figure something out.

For thimbles, take a look at solid cast thimbles, they are very tough with no rough edges to chafe.
