Default Anodizing as Metal Finishing

Currently I am almost finished fabricating a new aluminum mast for my BCC.

Now, is the time to decide on what type of corrosion prevention will best suit my needs.

My first choice is Anodizing, second choice powder coating, third choice LPU painting, forth choice leave it bare polished aluminum.

The anodizing process can be specified as Type I, and Type II, Class 1 or 2, or Type III, class 1 or 2 .

How to choose,,,,, What do the Spar manufacturers choose for aluminum masts ?

Are some anodized aluminum masts better than others, concerning durability of surface finish, and corrosion resistance ?

I need to build in,,,, as Brion says , "A Reserve Of Neglect" .

My new mast is in 3 sections, the longest section is 20' .
