Default How Do I post an image

Hello everyone. I'd like to post a few images regarding a halyard chafe problem I am having but I have not been able to figure out how to attach the photos from my hard drive. Can someone provide some direction? I read the FAQ and it suggested there would be an attachment link but I could not locate it.

Thanks.

I can't find the attachment link either, but here's how I have done it in the past.

If the image is on a website somewhere, you can use the Insert Image button in the compose window (the yellow thing that looks like a postcard with a mountain on it), but
the simplest way is to use a picture hosting site specially designed for this.

1: Take your picture and copy it to your computer.

2: Upload the picture to a picture hosting website. I use Photobucket.com, which is easy to use and free. Once you have registered, you can tell it to upload any picture on your hard drive.

3: Copy the IMG code of the picture. That's the URL of the image preceded by . In Photobucket that's as simple as mousing over the picture and single-clicking on the box marked "IMG code".

4: Paste the IMG code into your post. When you preview it, it should show as an image.
(Note that the picture will show in your post only as long as you leave it on the picture hosting website.)
