Default norseman cone

Hi
I have a well maintained Hood seafurl 2 system and would like to replace the 5/16 forestay.I have been told by many sources that the norseman cone used by hood is no longer available. It irks me to have to buy a new 4000$ furling system just to replace my forestay. If in fact the cone is no longer available I wonder if a cone could be custom made at considerably less than the price of a new furler.Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated
Cheers Greg Cook

Default Maybe

Hi,
It is possible that Norseman made a custom wedge for Hood's, back in the day, but it seems unlikely. More likely that all wedges then were slightly different. Either way, the good people at Navtec might be able to help you, as they have some old hands that know where all the dusty corners are.
Fair leads,
Brion Toss
