Default Making a Y splice in double-braid

I want to make a mooring pennant with a plain eye splice in one end, an eye splice with thimble in the other end and a short Y pennant of smaller diameter double braid spliced into the main pennant for mooring the tender when the bigger boat is away from the mooring. I have made several eye splices using your wand. In the past I've made the Y splice on three-strand using the same weaving process I would use in a standard eye splice, but I don't see how to adapt the eye splice process in the instructions that came with your splicing wand to do it with double-braid. Is this type of splice covered in "Working Rope - Book 5" advertised on this web site?
