jib boom traveler track design
Hello All,
I have 42' Alden that I am going to rig for a self tacking jib and at times a staysail when sailing her in cutter configuration.
Ideally, I would like to do something like a hoyt boom that is removable for when I want to set her up for offshore work. For single handed bay sailing I think the Hoyt boom will be great but require a bit more engineering and money.
For now I plan on a simple club foot boom and a jib track.
I have about 48" of cabin width to use when installing the jib travleler track.
Does anyone have any idea about how much curvature I should build in either vertically and/or horizontally?
Thanks for your help in advance.
