I wish I had known about the torque rope a week ago... I finally found the wire I was looking for as a special order from Mcmaster-Carr. But I think the Southern Spar stuff looks like a better deal.
Either way I try and replace the stays on the boat every 5 years due to the amount of stress we put the boat through, so at that time I will probably get rid of the wire and switch to the rope.
