Wireteknik machines

Hi all,

Any opinions on there about WireTeknik swaging machines? Im buying a swager soon and find this one attractive because of the portability.

Im used to a nice old Torrington rotary, so I don't think the swages are going to be half as pretty, but will they be as secure?

Has anyone used these, and if so can you offer opinions on quality, speed, etc?

Thanks
Kristian

Swagers

Hello,

We use the A-200 for onsite lifeline fabrication. The unit is solid as a rock, has never made a swage out of spec and are quite assured of a true straight swage owing to its mechanism of pulling the terminal vice the dies pushing the terminal.

The A-200 is good to 5/16 wire, but be warned. Wire exceeding 1/4 is a bear to pump thru...you will wish for your Torrington at that point.

The dies are a'la carte. I would recommend you get what you need for starters

True, you will not get the "jewelry quality" look as from a rotary, but done correctly, they are close.

Hayn is the US distributor, contact David Nevin-tell him Tom from Old Dominion Rigging sent you.

Regards,
Tom
