Bronze vs SS toggles

I have a Flicka 20 and it's time for re-rigging the standing portions and I have a few questions.

Would bronze toggles be better than stainless steel? Can I reuse 'previously owned' bronze parts with confidence? Does bronze more easily show failings than SS? How does one check older bronze fittings? I plan on reusing my bronze turnbuckles as they still run smoothly and show no wear.

What experience does anyone have with sliced wire? Is 7x7 better to use for this than 7x19? Is there a cost benefit to swaged vs stay-lock or hi-mod fittings?
Thanks for your input.

Hello,

Define "better."

It depends on age, use, climate, original quality, relative strength, etc.

No

With a microscope and a calendar.

Really? Are you sure?

Um...

Yes, much.

It depends.

So, lots of questions, and I realize that the answers might not be very helpful, but helpful ones would take a lot of time on my part, and that is not the intent of this page. Buy or borrow a copy of the "Apprentice." Likewise my video on rig inspection. Or just feed us the questions in smaller increments.
Fair leads,
