Help ID'ing rope?

Does anyone know what this rope is? A quantity of it in 1/4" was on my boat when I bought it, and I don't have a clue what it is:

(It's the top picture--turquoise with pink/purple flecks)

I emailed Colligo but the guy who responded didn't recall.
Thanks for any leads.

Looks like common accessory cord sold at mountaineering shops. See if it has a core of non-braided strands. Any of it's many variations are fine for what the pic shows.

Good--I used it to make lifeline gates.
So I take it that a non-braided core means it's climbing accessory cord.
Too bad--I went out and bought some not long ago for something else.
Thanks, Benz.

John,

For life lines, and gates, ect... I would recommend making sure that what you have is Dyneema. It isn't that expensive, and this way you know for sure that it is safe.

Thanks, Stumble.
I used 5/16" Amsteel Blue for my lifelines, mobius-spliced per B.T.'s book.
But for the short span of the gates, until I find out how to splice a proper gasket of 12-strand single braid synthetic, I'm comfortable with lashings of double braid dacron between the gate eye and the pellican hook in the meantime.
