Hi All,
Currently re-rigging Windy II (ex Chicago) in Malaysia. Anyody has documented numbers on strenght of doublings compared to splicing?

not that i am aware of. i assume by doubling you mean siezings instead of splicing.

Brion is the one you want to answer this, but i have sailed on many boats with both systems, and they both work great, if done right - and the both fail if done wrong!

Call brion and talk to him via his excellent consultation service, well worth the money if your making big changes (or not sure of what you have now) !
