Wooden mast fabricators Van Isl and vicinity?
 

Greetings all.

I'm facing a remasting decision and would like to confer with a really knowledgeable wooden mast builder in the Vancouver/Victoria/Nanaimo region. Boat lies Nanaimo at present. Can anyone refer me to an experienced mast/spar builder in the area?

Thanks Brian for connecting me with Ashley. I have visited his workshop and believe he can indeed solve my remasting problem for me. We will start with the mizzen mast (the cheapest and quickest) and then I'll be saving up my nickels for the big sticks.

Have you bought masts from Ashley yourself or do you know others who have? I formed a good impression of him but it never hurts to check a reference or two. If you know anyone who might be willing to chat about their experience with his masts, could you drop a line to de@svtaz.org? thx
