mast splice
 

so I had the crazy idea that I might be able to bend the mast straight and then cut it for the splice so that I would have two sections that matched. Well that didn't work too well, so I cut the bottom 8 feet or so off.
Now I am looking for about 8 feet of Offshore Spars 6040 mast section. Any riggers outy there have any laying around in the discard pile?

I am anxious to put everything I learned here into practice. I have a metal worker standing by who will bend the two pieces for the splice, just need the tube.
