Boom Reinforcement

I sail a J/30 and I'm fully expecting to break the boom at the vang attachment point. What is the best way to sleeve a boom to reinforce that area? The boom is a Kenyon E section.

We have made vang attachments that are about 4 times the length of the standard E boom vang fitting. We have this attached to 6 boats right now, all heavy and very competitive PHRF sailors. We have yet to see a broken boom.
